Copyright Takedown Policy
Questions about this document? Write to legal@layerport.app.
If you hold rights in material you believe has been migrated with LayerPort without authorization, send a notice to our copyright contact. We respond to substantiated notices. This process does not represent that the operator has registered a DMCA agent or qualifies for a United States safe harbor.
Copyright contact
- Email: copyright@layerport.app
What a notice must contain
- A physical or electronic signature of the rights holder or an authorized agent.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
- Identification of the infringing material, with enough detail for us to locate it — the source URL, and the URL where the copy is published.
- Your name, address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act for the rights holder.
What we can and cannot do
LayerPort stores each capture in the account's private hosted workspace, but it does not automatically host the customer's published website. We can remove the hosted workspace, disable the account, revoke its verifications, and preserve the records associated with the report. We cannot remove a copy already exported to a customer-controlled or third-party host.
If the copy is published on a third-party host, that host is the effective place to send a takedown as well.
Counter-notice
An account holder may submit a counter-notice containing their signature, identification of the material, a statement under penalty of perjury that it was disabled through mistake or misidentification, and consent to jurisdiction in Baja California, Mexico.
Misuse of this process
Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing carries liability for damages. Send notices in good faith.
Repeat infringers
Accounts that are the subject of repeated substantiated notices are terminated.
