Refund and Cancellation Policy
Questions about this document? Write to legal@layerport.app.
What you are charged, when, and how to stop it. Everything here is also shown on the checkout screen before you pay, because a policy you have to go and find is not a disclosure.
Before you are charged
- The total amount and the currency are shown before payment. Prices are in US dollars, except where a fixed local price is offered (currently Mexico, in Mexican pesos, MXN), which is the amount shown and charged there. When you pay in another currency than your card's, your card issuer performs the conversion and may add a fee we neither set nor receive.
- Whether tax is added at checkout is shown at checkout.
- For a subscription, the amount, the period and the renewal date are shown, and you accept the recurring charge explicitly — a separate tick, not a consequence of clicking Pay.
- A one-time purchase says so, and does not renew.
Renewal
A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. We send a reminder at least five days before each renewal, saying what will be charged and when.
Cancelling
Cancel from your own account page, in one click, with no email to support and no retention flow. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep everything you paid for until the end of the current period, and you can undo the cancellation before that date. Deleting the account asks Paddle to cancel immediately before local data is removed; deletion fails safely if Paddle does not confirm.
Changing plans
A subscription moves between plans on the same subscription; you never hold two. Before you confirm, the account shows what is charged today, what the plan will cost from the next renewal, and when the change takes effect, and you accept that new amount explicitly.
- Moving up (a higher plan, or monthly to yearly) takes effect immediately. Paddle charges the difference for the rest of the current period, after crediting what you already paid for it, to the payment method on file. If that payment fails, nothing changes.
- Moving down takes effect at the next renewal. Nothing is charged or refunded for the current period, you keep the plan you paid for until it ends, and you can call the change off from your account before then.
- Yearly to monthly is done at renewal: cancel the renewal, then choose the monthly plan when the year you paid for ends.
- A lower plan never deletes your work. Anything above its limits stays where it is; you cannot add more until you are within them, and features the lower plan does not include stop being available when the change takes effect.
Site compatibility and Live Edit
- LayerPort can capture any site you own or are authorized to move. Sites built with Framer and Webflow are the best supported.
- With other platforms (for example WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Shopify or hand-built sites), capture and editing may work only in part: some animations, forms, dynamic content or third-party scripts may not carry over or may not be editable.
- Live Edit, on Framer and Webflow sites too, can have bugs or unfinished features on some sites. We keep improving it, and improvements reach every plan that includes Live Edit.
- You can check before paying: the free plan captures your site's home page and opens it in Live Edit. If your site does not work as you expected after you pay, the fourteen-day refund below applies.
Refunds
- Fourteen days, no questions asked. Write to support@layerport.app within 14 days of a charge and we refund it in full, whatever the reason and whether or not you used the plan.
- A refund ends the subscription. When a subscription charge is refunded under the fourteen-day rule, the subscription is cancelled at the same time and its paid access ends; your account and projects stay, on the Free plan.
- Charged in error. A duplicate charge, a charge after a cancellation, or a charge for a plan you did not buy is refunded in full whenever we find out about it.
- Service failure. If the plan could not deliver what it advertises for reasons on our side, we refund the affected period.
- After fourteen days. Periods already used are not refunded pro rata; you keep access until the period ends.
- Nothing here limits a refund or cancellation right the law gives you where you live.
Refunds go back to the original payment method through Paddle, usually within five to ten business days.
The Site Pass, specifically
- It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It never renews.
- It attaches permanently to the first project it is used on. That binding survives renaming, moving and unlinking the project, and there is no way to move it to a different site.
- It is not transferable between accounts.
- It includes three Source Syncs in total for that project; subscriptions have them without a limit.
- Like every purchase, it is refunded in full on request within 14 days of the charge. A refund removes the pass from the project it attached to.
Failed payments
If a renewal fails, Paddle retries it and access continues for a short grace period. If it is still unpaid after the retries, the plan reverts to the free tier. Existing hosted projects are not deleted merely because a payment failed; plan limits decide what new work can start.
Chargebacks
If something looks wrong, write to support@layerport.app first; it is faster than a dispute and we would rather fix it. An account with an unresolved chargeback may be suspended while it is settled.
Billing questions: support@layerport.app. LayerPort bills through Paddle, its Merchant of Record, and never stores card details.
